Eligibility for scholarships
To be eligible for a scholarship, you must be enrolled in student finance (unless you are preparing to teach languages or physics). Additionally, you will require at least one of the following:
a master’s degree or higher, or a bachelor’s degree with honors in class 2:1
A PhD.
You can still qualify even if you received a 2:2 on your degree. You would have to demonstrate that you have sufficient experience and subject-matter expertise.
Scholarships are given out by different organizations with their own standards for evaluation.

How scholarships are paid
Your teacher training provider will pay a scholarship for at least 10 months during the term of your study. They will verify when you will receive the money.
With scholarship payments, you won’t have to pay taxes or national insurance.
You are not required to repay a scholarship because it’s not a give back money or loan.
How to apply for a scholarship
You must submit your application straight to the scholarship sponsor. The application deadline is determined by each provider, who will also verify that you fulfill their qualifying requirements.
